Starting July 4th, 2009 your Community Caucus meetings are the most local, citywide, county-wide, or township wide meetings that we will have. Thousands of these meetings held community by community and state by state give us a national impact!
People interested in planning will take the responsibility for putting together a Community Caucus at the most accessible possible location which also provides a level of security and confidentiality. Getting the word out to others is essential through local churches, clubs, businesses and organizations is important as well as by personal invitation to some of the most well known individuals. MORE information and instructions for volunteers is forthcoming for those who sign up at "Join Us."
Research minded individuals must begin the process of assembling some basic local facts to best understand the environment of your community. Who are the elected officials? Which positions are up for election in 2010? Any special elections before that? Which elected officials deserve the support of your caucus and why? Which elected officials warrant opposition and why? Who are some local community leaders who might be willing to run and serve in such a capacity? Who are some former elected officials that can/should be reengaged? What is the level of influence of local established political parties? Many more questions will develop and we will assist with those in the days to come.
Let us know where you fit in by going to the Join Us button and registering, then send an email to our Contact Us button on this site and we will forward that to your local area coordinators.
